Picking up the deadly trail of the mutant rabies virus (from the 2008 film Quarantine), this sequel takes the outbreak to new, claustrophobic heights—or rather, a new, claustrophobic terminal.
The story unfolds on a flight from Los Angeles to Kansas City. The crisis begins when a passenger becomes violently ill—a direct result of a bite from a rat infected with the highly aggressive, rage-inducing virus. When the contagion spreads rapidly, the plane is forced to make an emergency landing at a secluded terminal.
Led by flight attendant Jenny (Mercedes Mason), the remaining uninfected passengers and crew find themselves trapped as the terminal is immediately surrounded by government agencies imposing a strict quarantine. As the infected passengers turn into vicious, flesh-hungry aggressors, the survivors must navigate the dark, labyrinthine terminal, fighting both the monstrous victims of the virus and the mysterious forces attempting to contain the situation at all costs.
