The sequel reunites fans with the aspiring penguin surfer, Cody Maverick (Jeremy Shada), who has settled into life on Pen Gu Island running a surf school with Lani (Melissa Sturm) and hanging out with his champion chicken friend, Chicken Joe (Jon Heder). Despite his happy life, Cody still dreams of achieving legendary status.
His opportunity arrives when The Hang 5, the most radical team of extreme surfers, arrive on the island. The voice cast for this celebrity team is one of the film’s biggest draws, featuring real-life WWE Superstars:

The Hang 5 are searching for the Trenches, a mythical location where surfers can ride a 50-foot rogue wave. Cody, Chicken Joe, and Lani convince the stars to let them join the perilous journey. Their quest takes them across deserts and through jungles, testing their friendship, courage, and commitment to teamwork, while also serving as a search for Mr. McMahon’s replacement on the legendary team.
