​The story is set at a sorority house near Buxley College, where the weekend plans of several sisters have just been ruined. Housemother Jean (Lisa De Leeuw), dealing with her own recent heartbreak after dumping a married lover, finds herself stuck in the building with the students. Among them is Cindy (Bridgette Monet), a shy virgin who dreams of a literary, “knight-in-shining-armor” style romance. Her fellow sisters, Bobby Jo (Angel Burgeon) and Sugar (Linda Shaw), decide to take Cindy under their wing and help her explore her dormant desires.

​The narrative culminates in an evening dinner party where the women welcome various men from the campus. While the main story focuses on Cindy’s romantic awakening, a poignant subplot follows Jean as she picks up Sugar’s brother, Jack (Mike Horner), from the airport. Their shared conversations about grief and war lead to a cathartic and tender connection by the fireplace. Recently restored from its original 35mm negatives by Vinegar Syndrome, the film is a fascinating time capsule of 80s college culture and the “empowerment” arcs often found in Paul Vatelli’s work.
