​The film introduces Inba (Soori), a simple, kind-hearted man whose entire world revolves around his extended joint family, particularly his older sister, Girija (Swasika), and her young son, Nilan, nicknamed Laddu (Master Prageeth Sivan). After Girija and her husband struggled for years to conceive, Inba became Laddu’s surrogate father figure, creating an overwhelming, almost suffocating bond. Laddu, in turn, is a precocious and possessive child who views his Maaman (Uncle) as his exclusive property.

​The drama begins when Inba falls in love with and marries Rekha (Aishwarya Lekshmi), a successful doctor who is initially patient but gradually finds herself suffocated by Laddu’s constant, disruptive presence in her marital life. Laddu actively inserts himself between the couple, refusing to let them have any personal space, fueled by an innocent, yet manipulative, devotion to his uncle. As Rekha tries to politely suggest the child needs counseling and boundaries—a suggestion met with resistance and vilification by the rest of the conservative family—the film charts the increasing emotional turmoil. Inba, torn between his wife and his over-the-top family commitment, must choose between his old loyalties and building a healthy future with Rekha. The film uses this central conflict to explore traditional joint family values versus modern marital expectations.
