​The film, directed by Daniel R. Palacio, plunges into chaos when Boogie Alcantara (Vince Rillon) discovers his girlfriend, Monica (AJ Raval), has been having an affair. In a fit of jealous rage, Boogie severely injures the other man. Facing attempted homicide charges, he seeks the help of his uncle, Marlon (Mark Anthony Fernandez), a corrupt police officer who helps him hide from the authorities. However, the victim’s family, led by a fierce matriarch Belen (Irma Adlawan), refuses to wait for the slow process of the law. They decide to enact their own justice, igniting a dangerous and relentless hunt for Boogie that spirals into a violent, high-stakes confrontation. Kaliwaan (which translates to ‘The Affair’ or ‘Cheating’) is a dark look at the corrosive nature of infidelity and the destructive cycle of personal revenge in a corrupt environment.
