​This time, the action leaves the frozen Canadian terrain and moves to the deadly high-altitude roads of Nepal. Mike McCann travels to the Himalayas to fulfill the last wish of his late brother, Gurty: to scatter his ashes on Mount Everest.

​The solemn journey quickly turns into a desperate struggle for survival when Mike and his local mountain guide, Dhani Yangchen (Fan Bingbing), board a packed tour bus traversing the infamous “Road to the Sky.” They soon find themselves caught in a violent confrontation with a group of ruthless mercenaries who are involved in a sinister assassination plot connected to crooked industrialists and local resources. Stripped of his big rig but not his resolve, McCann must use every ounce of his ingenuity and brute force to protect the innocent passengers, the local villagers’ homeland, and ultimately, himself.

​Written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh (who also helmed the first film), Ice Road: Vengeance delivers the expected high-stakes action and intensity of a classic Neeson thriller.
