This grand, nearly four-hour saga tells the timeless story of royalty, betrayal, and destiny in the fictional kingdom of Mahishmati.
- Part 1: The Discovery: The film begins with Sivudu (played by Prabhas), a young man raised in an isolated tribe, who scales a massive waterfall, driven by a quest for a mysterious woman, Avanthika (Tamannaah Bhatia). Upon infiltrating Mahishmati, he is revealed to be Mahendra Baahubali, the lost prince, and the rightful heir to the throne.

The narrative flows seamlessly, detailing the rivalry between the two cousins, the passionate love story of Amarendra and Devasena (Anushka Shetty), and the ultimate question: Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?
