​Massimo, who claims he became obsessed with Laura after seeing her in a vision following a near-death experience, kidnaps her. He holds her captive in his villa and presents her with an extraordinary proposition: she will be his prisoner for 365 days, and if, by the end of that year, she has not fallen in love with him, he will let her go, untouched. He assures her he will not harm her, but he will do everything in his power to seduce her.
